Fats will make you fat
Myth: Fats will make you fat.
Truth: Not necessarily. Look, foods like avocado and nuts have fats which your body needs to function properly. It certainly does not mean that it is immediately stored in the body as fat. Fats also help you to feel satisfied and full, which means overall you will eat less which helps with weight loss. Of course eating excess calories (more than you burn) will lead to stored fat, whether it is from fats, proteins, carbs or sugars. So it doesn’t mean you get a free pass eating junk food (which has very little nutrients). Don’t compare avocados and salmon to a cheese pizza. These whole foods have unsaturated fats which are good for your body and promote a healthy heart, lowers triglycerides, and helps lower cholesterol amongst other things.
P.S. The healthy goat was spotted outside ‘Mamma Mia’s Pizza Eateria’ (somewhere in NYC), with a sack full of food. He was hurling avocados and nuts at patrons so that they could have healthy fat options.
Update: The confused goat was last seen running from the hail of avocados and nuts being hurled back at him.
